Fun in the Sun!
Yesterday our team explored a beautiful island off of the coast of the Dominican Republic! After an early morning departure, our team traveled over land and sea to reach a private beach a little over three hours from Juan Tomas. There we snorkeled, played volleyball, and spent plenty of time relaxing underneath large palm trees next to the clear turquoise water. What a perfect way to spend time with our Dominican brothers and sisters prior to departure!
This morning we gathered together to worship and praise God for his faithfulness throughout this week, and celebrate the ways that he has blessed and changed us. This time included bilingual singing, praying, and sharing testimonies of God's work. Although difficult to quantify, the overwhelming sense was that we are excited, and encouraged, about what God is doing at home and abroad.
We are currently in the process of cleaning and packing up our things. This afternoon we will visit a local market, and then head to the airport for our flight back home. Please pray for safety, and a smooth transition back to the United States. We look forward to seeing you soon!
