Picture Post #3

During siesta yesterday Jansel took us for a tour of the village.
It was definitely eye-opening for our students to see how most villagers live.
You can see the storm clouds moving in overhead.
Jansel is on man on the left in the orange shirt.  He is main math teacher in the High School.
This is the water tower in town.
The villagers have come to the church building where they are waiting to be seen at the blood pressure clinic.

This is the new Medical Building.  We hope to see it completed very soon.
Jeremiah volunteered to man the Tool Shed for our team today.  Dawn, Anna, and Jeremy thoroughly organized it yesterday.
Dr. Lisa (in the orange shirt on the right) is from Ashland, OH and is here to help with the blood pressure clinic today.

David is leading the Salmon Painting Team. They are working on the High School bathrooms this morning.  Barbara (on the left) gave some of our students a tour of her home yesterday.  It was very eye-opening for all of the students. Any paint on her walls (or even a toilet)... but she is eager to paint the bathrooms at the school with us.
Joseph is doing a wonderful job of painting the ceiling.  Tyler is doing his Where's Waldo imitation.
Chis and Lukas are making major progress on the school's office.  The book shelves will house all of the theological books we have supplied over the years.
Another shot of the blood pressure clinic.

Another shot of the blood pressure clinic.

Melissa is missing the baby... but she has been an amazing leader for our team!
Christina is such a pro... she is such a gift from the LORD.
McKenna is killing it on the paint team!  I snapped this picture right before she rolled her eyes at me! :-)
Beejay, Lukas, and Ian are helping with the shelves in the High School office.
Ian is able to carry the whole sheet on his own!
In order to receive the free blood pressure medicine, patients must attend church services on Sunday where they are exposed to the Gospel.
Juan Jose and Elizabeth are coordinating the patient appointments.
One of my favorite pictures of the trip. These girls have been working together all week.
Dawn is working with Argenis to organize the Teachers Lounge.
These lovely ladies cook amazing food for us every day. The put in long hours too... as they work from 6am to 9pm each day.
David really enjoyed the trip to the village.
The food is really off the charts amazing!
This is the Mess Hall.  This year the tiled floors and the drop ceiling make us feel like we are already at the resort! :-)
The table painting team is working hard... and some of the paint even made it to the table!
Please pray for Ethan and Anna.  They both needed to rest this morning because of dehydration and fatigue.
Tim is really hitting his groove.  He definitely missed be home at first... but he is really loving his time here in Juan Tomas.
Ben is a painting pro... He is doing a great job of working with Tim to finish the wall by the basketball court.

Again, please join us in praying for Anna and Ethan.  We are making them drink lots of water and get lots of rest.  Pray for our team this afternoon, as we have an opportunity to lead a children's outreach event.  Finally, pray for me tomorrow evening as I (Jeremy) have an opportunity to preach.
