Sunday Recap

Yesterday was a wonderful day. Blake had the opportunity to preach in the morning service at the church here in Juan Tomas. Jeremy traveled to the next village over (Villa Mella) to preach at a church plant that is two years old. After the morning services, our team — along with the entire congregation — shared a special catered barbecue to celebrate Fathers Day here in the Dominican Republic. Sanul had the opportunity in the afternoon to briefly share during the Haitian congregation.  He indicated that this was a surprise speaking opportunity, and that he was very grateful that he had his notes from Blake’s morning sermon handy! In the evening Jeremy preached a second time... this time to the congregation here in Juan Tomas.

Today is our last work day and we are doing our very best to finish well. I’m trying to put together a surprise for our team this afternoon to celebrate God’s faithfulness to our group... but that hasn’t been finalized yet.

Please pray that the Lord would guard us against the selfishness that can sometimes hurt a team towards the end of a trip.

Once again, thank you, for partnering with us in prayer. The Lord’s kindness has been overwhelming this week, and I’m already excited to return to the Dominican Republic next year!

In Christ,
Jeremy
