Thursday Recap

I was really hoping that the weather would cooperate, so that Thursday would end up being a very productive day.  I am very thankful to report that the rain held off, and that yesterday ended up being such a fruitful day.
Sanul took a small team into the village to visit a shut-in who was in desperate need of medical attention.  Back at the school, we had teams working in the new classroom to finish the ceiling installation and to finish priming the cinderblock wall for paint. We also had a team devoted to prepping three different areas for new sets of steps that will hopefully get installed today.

By five o’clock yesterday, the various groups were in such a good position, that we decided to take the entire team on a walking tour of the village. The tour lasted about an hour, and they were able to see how most families are living in a one our two room shed... typically with a dirt floor... and often without running water in the way that we are used to in the states.

After the tour, it was great to return to the school grounds for another tasty dinner and a night full of engaging conversations and loud card games!

Thank you for continuing to pray. I think the trip has been wonderfully encouraging to both the Dominicans we are serving and to each American as well. The Lord has been so gracious to all of us... and there is a tremendous spirit of gratitude from each person on our team.

Yours in Christ,

Jeremy
