Worship & Work

We just finished up a wonderful worship service at the church here in Juan Tomas.  It was a beautiful time of bilingual prayer and praise.  Jeremy delivered a sermon, translated by our ministry partner Paul, on 1 John 2: 1-17.  For our team, this was a great reminder of what we're studying in our morning devotions and an opportunity to share what we've been learning with the local community.

The Wednesday night service was a fantastic way to wrap up a hard day of work.  The team continued painting classrooms for both the high school and the elementary school throughout the day. A lead group of Dan, Ingrid, Cameron, Dawson and Jeremy demolished the tin walls this morning at the house in the village that we mentioned in an earlier post.  In the afternoon, Molly H., Nick, Kai, and Christina measured and cut boards for the walls which were quickly installed by Lukas and Melynda.  Abby and Molly W. assisted with site preparation and clean-up.  It was a joy to be able to bless a family in such a tangible way.

Back at the school, Nanako organized a craft session for local kids from the village.  Afterwards, Miriam and Maria sang songs and shared Bible stories with the children.  The sound of laughter and singing could be heard throughout the campus.  The neighborhood children are planning to practice the songs and sing them for our team later this week.

Thanks again for your continued support of our team! Things have gone very smoothly so far and we're experiencing great team unity, so we're really thankful for the answered prayers.
