God is building the home

Good morning!  After a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit and hearty sweet bread, we read 1 John 2:15-29.  We shared how our experience in the DR is opening our eyes to the things of the world that we love back home. 

Today will be another busy work day for our students as they paint school classrooms and help build a home for a local student in the village.  A few days ago, Hansel (a teacher at the school who is leading the home construction project for this student) spoke with a child in the village who was watching the team work.  He asked if she knew who was building the home and she firmly answered that it was God.  She said that she knew the team was doing the actual work, but God was the one building the home. 

What an encouragement to hear that our physical work is bringing glory to God!  It is clear to the Dominicans that our team is here to share the love of God in everything we do.  Please pray for our team as we seek to love and serve our Dominican brothers and sisters, that we would continually show them the love of Christ in our words and actions.
